Suspicious Packages Found Across Boston

I was just looking at the news and see this from a few news organizations....

BOSTON (Reuters) - Five suspicious packages were found in separate locations around Boston on Wednesday and were disabled, police said.

Some of the packages were found near the New England Medical Center, the Longfellow Bridge that connects Boston with Cambridge, the Boston University Bridge and on Storrow Drive near Charles Street in downtown Boston, police said.

"Right now they're under investigation," said a Boston Police Department spokesman.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority spokesman Joe Pesaturo said one of the train system's busiest lines have been stopped.

U.S. Coast Guard said it closed Boston's Charles River amid the security alert.

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Five suspicious packages planted throughout Boston Wednesday forced the shutdown of major roads, a bridge and a stretch of the Charles River.

Authorities concluded the objects were not bombs.

"It's a hoax -- and it's not funny," said Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

Police said four calls, all around 1 p.m., reported suspicious devices at the Boston University Bridge and the Longfellow Bridge, which both span the Charles River, at a Boston street corner and at the Tufts-New England Medical Center.

The package near the Boston University bridge was found attached to a structure beneath the span, where it crosses the Massachusetts Turnpike, authorities said.

Subway service across the Longfellow Bridge between Boston and Cambridge was briefly suspended, and Storrow Drive was closed as well.

Another device was found earlier in the day at a subway station, forcing a temporary shutdown of Interstate 93.

I am kinda worried about this. I have several friends that live in and around the Boston area. Matter of fact the company I work for is based just outside Boston.

You Can Change The Way America Flies

Who here is happy with airline service? Do you love your airline? Most Americans say no.

Virgin America would like to change the way America flies. Our mission is to provide you with a better option in domestic air travel. How about an airline filled with people who have a passion for progress and a fascination with technology? How about massage chairs? How about a self-service minibar and snack fridge? Take a look around our cabin...they think you'll be surprised.

But they need your help.

You may have heard the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) tentatively rejected our application in late December, pending resolution of some issues regarding our ownership. We believe, since then, we've addressed their concerns and we're now waiting for the Department to issue its final decision in the next couple of months.

They are asking for your support to convince the DOT and your elected officials that our application should be approved.

Why? Because if they never fly, the losers won't just be us at Virgin America but U.S. travelers in general.

Please sign the petition and demand that you, your friends, your colleagues, and your family be given a choice in air travel.

The "F" Word!!!!

Well again I am posting about this issue.
Here is what ABC's Press release says.....

We have a long standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees. We dealt with the original situation in October, and thought the issue resolved. Therefore, we are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, that he himself deemed 'unfortunate' in his previous public apology. We take this situation very seriously, and his actions are unacceptable and are being addressed.

So what does that mean? I know what it means...More ratings for the show. That is why they are making a big deal about it. I know the "F" word is almost as bad as the "N" word. But why else do you think that ABC has drawn out this whole ordeal??

Colts Vs. Bears

Well the stage is set and now the teams have a couple weeks to work on there A game for the Super Bowl.

The Indianapolis Colts
I was happy to see that Peyton Manning finally got the monkey off his back and for all of you who said Peyton will never make it well I guess he made a liar out of you!
Way to go Peyton and I am so glad I don't have to watch the stupid New England Patriots play in ANOTHER Superbowl. After failing in their two previous attempts against the Patriots in the playoffs, the Colts finally got past their rival -- but it wasn't easy. Indianapolis fell behind 21-3 in the first half and had to pull off the biggest comeback in championship game history to record a 38-34 win over New England and a trip to Super Bowl XLI. Joseph Addai scored the winning points on a 3-yard run with a minute left, the first time the Colts had the lead. Peyton Manning overcame first-half struggles to lead the rally, finishing with 349 yards passing. Tony Dungy's Colts will meet Lovie Smith's Bears in Super Bowl XLI, the first time black head coaches have made the Super Bowl.

Chicago Bears
Grossman was another one after a few bad weeks and being replaced by back up Quaterback Brian Griese because of poor playing he pulled out all the stops against the New Orleans Saints. The Chicago Bears completed their wire-to-wire run as the top team in the NFC with a convincing 39-14 win over the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game, earning Chicago its first trip to the Super Bowl since the 1985 season. At a cold and snowy Soldier Field, New Orleans turned the ball over four times, while Chicago didn't commit a turnover and had just one penalty. Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson paced the Bears offense, combining for 183 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Lovie Smith becomes the first black head coach to reach the Super Bowl, where he will met another African-American coach in the Colts' Tony Dungy.

Larry Flick says.....It's Time To Take Control...

Larry Flick from Out Q in the Morning says:

Are you tired of being pushed around? Well, we are on my program. It's time to tell ABC-TV that you will not stand for the ongoing employment of a potentially violent homophobe. Demand that Isiah Washington be fired.

You can either call 818-460-7477 or go to ABC.com, scroll to the bottom and hit the "contact us" to email your displeasure with the way that this situation has been handled.

If you need help in writing your note, "I stand with Larry Flick and all of my friends on Sirius/OutQ radio in demanding that you take action against the homophia of Isiah Washington."

It's time to show that we're not push-overs anymore.

JACKS IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Jack Bower is back and he is bad as ever...Last night was the season premier of 24 Season 6 and let me start by saying WOW!!! If you are as much of a 24 lover as I am you are gonna love this season as much as me. I can't believe that Wayne Palmer is now the President. I was in shock. Last night was a great season opener and looking forward to seeing tonights 2 hours of 24!!!

2 Boys found Alive....One boy missing for 5 days...The other for 4.5 years!!!!

It may be some time before the public knows how Ben Ownby (lef) and Shawn Hornbeck (right) were treated during their captivity, but the families say all they care about now is spending time with their children. It came as a shock to me on my drive home Friday that they broke in my favorite country music song and said that there was a update in the Ben Ownby story. This boy had been missing since Monday (1/8/07) and they were looking for him nonstop since then. The only thing they had to go on was a Nissan pick up was speeding away from where Ben was dropped off on Monday afternoon after getting off the school bus. Well anyways back to the story. They had found him...ALIVE...Then to my shock they found Shawn Hornbeck who had been missing for well over four and a half years. So not only did they find the first boy who was missing they found an additional boy who had been abducted. The pervert who was charged with this was a guy by the name of Michael Devlin who works for IMO's Pizza in Kirkwood, MO. This creep was the store manager and none of the people who worked for him knew his dark little secret. The owner of the local pizza restaurant said that he had never missed a day of work and that he was always polite and nice to everyone at work. So is this a wake up call to family who have children that you need too know where your children are at all times of the day and night.

Apple - WOW!!! Why do I have a PC??

I want this phone! This is a really cool phone and it has everything you possibly need. What can I say? I want one of these phones and I think I need to get a Mac as well. I already have a iPod so that would be perfect! :-)

Apple TV?? WOW Isn't this the coolest thing? I want one of these too! :-)
Apple TV puts your iTunes library — movies, TV shows, music, and podcasts — plus movie trailers from Apple.com on your TV. And your digital photos from iPhoto on a Mac or Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Album on a Windows PC appear in high definition, so you can put on a stunning big-screen slideshow.

Sorry Big Mac!!!!

Mark McGwire was on the ballot to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame but got just 23.5 percent of the votes in this election. WOW. Well what can I say Mark? Once a juicer always a juicer! You need to think about all the stuff that you should have said in front of that panel in the congress investigation instead of pleading the 5th. You give baseball a bad name because you did something and didn't confess to it. So Mark all I have to say is that you will probably never make the hall of fame. No matter how much crying and apologizing you do you can't fix the past.

Democrats Set to Take Control of Congress

Democrats prepared to take control of both houses of Congress on Thursday after spending most of the last 12 years in the minority, with plans to quickly raise the minimum wage and toughen lobbying rules the Democrats will rock the house!!

The Democratic takeover arrives with congressional leaders and President Bush stressing bipartisanship however, with indications emerging of the partisan fights to come.

Representative Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, is slated to become the new speaker of the House and the first woman to hold that post ever. Senator Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, is scheduled to take over as Senate majority leader.

So come on Democrats let's give them hell and get this nation back on the right track that it needs. Let's get the hell out of Iraq as soon as we can because GOD knows we went there because George W Bush is a IDIOT!! I will be so glad when we get to vote for a new President. I know it won't be anyone from the RED REPUBLICAN PARTY. Because their party is pissed off just as much as the Democrats.
